Harris: Ask the GSB to Uninvite Pace

Harris Bank has refused to ask the GSB to cancel Pace's talk and has refused to respond to polite, specific information requests from U of C students.  Harris ranks in the bottom third of the banking and financial services industry on Human Rights Campaign's 2006 Corporate Equality Index

We represent Harris N.A., ("Harris" or the "Bank") in its intellectual
property matters including trademark infringement and misuse of Harris'
trademarks and logo by others.  Harris has called to our attention your
unlawful use of Harris' trademark and federally registered logo on your
"about Harris Bank" page in your campaign site at
http://unaskpace.googlepages.com/aboutharrisbank.

While you certainly are entitled to name the Bank in connection with
your
comments about the upcoming visit and keynote speaker, such use does NOT
extend to using the Bank's registered trademark logo - the Lion
profile and
HARRIS - which is a designation of source of the Bank's services.  Your
commentary certainly does not originate with the Bank, so use of Harris'
registered trademark and logo connected with your commentary misleads
readers as to the source or affiliation of your organization and the
commentary appearing on your web pages.

We demand that you immediately take down the link and the page captioned
"About Harris Bank" until such time as you can remove Harris'
trademark and
logo.

We will monitor your site and expect to see compliance by 3:00
p.m.today,
Friday, May 4, 2007.  Harris N.A. reserves its rights in this matter.
Thank you.

Very truly yours,
